This morning, on Remembrance Day, also known as Poppy Day, Graeme College joined the Order of the Moths and schools from across Makhanda, to honour and remember all those who have lost their lives or been affected by war.
Remembrance Day is observed around the world each year on 11 November, marking the end of World War I in 1918. The red poppy has become a powerful symbol of remembrance, representing hope and gratitude for those who sacrificed so much for peace.
Our boys and our Headmaster stood with pride and respect, as they reflected on the courage, service and resilience of those who came before them.
It was a moving reminder of the importance of remembrance, unity and gratitude.
