Our senior athletes competed in the 102nd edition of Hirsch Shield hosted at Grey High School in Gqeberha on Saturday, 27 September. The Hirsch is not just only one of the oldest interschools boys only competition, but it is also on of the toughest competitions around. Nevertheless, athletes from all schools enjoy one another competitiveness and camaraderie from this auspicious occasion. The Hirsch Shield is for the U19 boys, the SF Edwards Shield is for the U16 boys and the Sammy Gunn Shield is for U14 boys.
Some of our highlights from this edition were as follows:
Luphawulwethu Madolo winning the U16 400m finals.
C-Jay Jeggels winning the U16 800m finals.
Inam Masoma placing 3rd place in the U16 high jump.
Qhawe Mbelani placing 3r in the U19 110m hurdles and earning himself a bronze medal 🥉.
