The staff at Graeme College are committed to leading by example, upholding key principles and values. Our goal is to support each learner’s academic growth, helping them reach their full potential. We embrace and promote the following core values: respect (both self-respect and respect for others), accountability, and honesty.

We adopt and endeavor to instill the following principles:

Our Mission Statement

  • hard work and commitment
  • creativity and curiosity
  • individuality and independence of thought
  • teamwork and collaboration (when appropriate)
  • discipline (including punctuality)

Our goals are to develop young men who will:

Our Goals

  • have a thirst for knowledge and understanding;
  • be prepared and equipped for tertiary education;
  • become leaders in their respective fields of employment;
  • make a positive impact in their respective communities;
  • be prepared for life in the digital world.

Academic Enrichment

The staff of Graeme College feels strongly about fostering academic growth and allowing students to participate in activities outside of school that will enrich their lives, teach them new skills and allow them to develop to their full potential.

Johan Carinus Art School

The Johan Carinus Art School caters to over 350 Graeme boys, from Grades 5 to 12. The boys produce outstanding practical work.

English Olympiad

Every year, a select group of boys participate in the Olympiad. They examine the set text which is usually a topical issue of today’s world. They grapple with these issues and then write an examination where they demonstrate their understanding of these issues. This is important in interpreting the world in which we live.

ICT

ICT has been an important component to Graeme College’s vision for the future of our learners. We have two fully equipped computer labs, each serving a specific purpose in the school. The recently updated main computer lab is being used for computer literacy and afternoon work.
