Potjie cook-off from from countries around the world- what incredible Graeme chefs we have!
As part of our Strategic Planning workshop, our staff took part in a fantastic team-building activity: a “Potjie from Around the World” competition. This vibrant event was not only a chance for some light-hearted fun but also a meaningful opportunity for colleagues to connect and collaborate in a different way.
Each team represented a different country, bringing incredible energy, creativity and culinary flair to the table. The seven countries represented were Thailand, Mexico, South Africa (of course!), the USA, Morocco, India and Italy. From colourful table setups to themed outfits and amazing aromas, the atmosphere was alive with gees and global flavour.
Our guest speakers stepped in as judges and were blown away by the level of effort and passion on display, from beautifully decorated tables to the storytelling (aka bribery!) behind each potjie. After much deliberation (and tasting!), Team Thailand was crowned the winner with their gorgeous coconut-inspired potjie, full of flavour and flair.
It was a truly stunning evening filled with laughter, team spirit and delicious dishes from across the globe. An unforgettable highlight of the retreat!
