You can just imagine the excitement from both learners and staff when these adorable little furballs showed up! These cuties are looking for their forever homes through the Grahamstown Feral Cat Project, and honestly, who could resist those faces?
Sorry (not sorry) again, parents… you might be hearing some very persuasive arguments for a new family member tonight! 🐱💛
MIt is that time if the year again, bouncy kitten season! Spring hits and mama cats start expanding their families! Unfortunately not all these new kittens have homes or people to provide for them. That is where animal welfare charities such as the SPCA Grahamstown, Makana Vet Clinic, Butterfly Effect Project and the Grahamstown Feral Cat Project come in.
Today the grade 1 to 4 classes got a visit from some foster kittens of the feral cat project. This project takes in abandoned kittens, gets them healthy and vaccinated and ready to go out to their new families as happy, bouncy babies! These five kittens do have homes planned, but there are currently another family of kittens, who are not adopted as yet.
Should you be considering adding a pet to your family this December please consider adopting from one of the local animal charities in town rather than buying a kitten (or puppy!). There are so many animals that need a loving home, without bringing more into the world. Please remember that getting an animal is a many year commitment, not just a cute photo shoot for Christmas, and get your pets spayed or neutered to avoid more bouncy babies next year!
