Shamwari Game Reserve gives our Little Leopards a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a vulture chick! This morning was absolutely unforgettable! We had a surprise visit from Aunty Kerri (Connor’s mom) from Shamwari, and she didn’t come alone. She brought with her a three-day-old vulture chick! The boys were completely captivated as she shared fascinating facts about these incredible birds and explained how she’s working to boost wild vulture populations through an important breeding program. It was a truly rare and inspiring experience; one that sparked curiosity and excitement in every single boy. And as if that wasn’t enough, each of them received their very own copy of the book “Champion of the Veld”, a special gift to remember this amazing encounter. A huge thank you to Kerri for giving the boys such a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – definitely one they’ll be talking about for a long time to come! 🦅📚
