GRAEME 1st XV RIDING HIGH. With 5 wins out of 5, Grahamstown’s Graeme College 1st XV is currently the leading Eastern Cape school in the national rankings of SA schools. Graeme is currently in 29th position out of 468 schools overall. Graeme’s most impressive win to date was its 41-26 trouncing of Bishops in the St John’s Festival over the Easter weekend where Graeme’s outside centre, Erin Nelson, was a star performer running in four tries each capping a team effort. On Saturday, the Graemians overcame Port Rex in East London by 48-10 and they’ll be back in East London for their next game against Selborne College. It will be a keen encounter with a struggling Selborne 1st XV out to redeem themselves.
