GRAEME RACKS UP THE POINTS. Graeme 1st XV added another 52 points to their impressive tally for the season with today’s 52-19 win over Hudson Park following last week’s 90-21 trouncing of Cambridge. In their 11 games this season, Graeme have now scored 512 for with 239 against. Hudson Park, who are enjoying one of their better seasons, were probably feeling the effects after edging out Kingswood 25-24 earlier in the week. The match was postponed from last Saturday due to the weather. The match took place in East London and St Andrews also travelled to East London today, handing out Cambridge’s second big loss to Grahamstown teams in successive weeks, by 73-19. It will be interesting to see what effect if any this week’s results have on the various teams’ Eastern Cape and national rankings. Graeme has been trailing Grey PE in 2nd position in the Eastern Cape but may well find themselves back in 1st position after Grey’s big loss to Wynberg Boys High in Cape Town today by 41-17. Grey and Wynberg were respectively 24th and 25th in the national rankings as of last week. Grey has now lost 3 of its 8 matches played to date whereas Graeme has lost only 1 of its 11 matches, unexpectedly losing their away match to a struggling Selborne.
