This evening, the Carinus Art Centre held its Junior Art and Design Exhibition Opening and Prize Giving for Grades 4 to 9. We had a fantastic turnout of learners and parents who attended. The evenings keynote address was done by Kerry-lee Knott-Craig, the VP dance teacher. She spoke about the importance of the individual learner to make their own mark in the world, to strive for originality without fear. This was her key message, that creativity is about making one’s own mark in the world without fear and to sign it off as a means of ownership of their artwork. Our Carinus principal, Kay Sealy-Fischer, thanks all parents and learners for donations and attendance. Here follows photos of award winners in attendance and general pics of the public/parents and learners.
