The Makhanda (Grahamstown) Region’s young scientists are ready for their next challenge! Following months of research, feedback and project development, these finalists have been selected to represent the region at the 2026 Eskom Expo International Science Fair (ISF), taking place from 29 September to 2 October at Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Boksburg, Gauteng.

Representing the ESKOM EXPO Makhanda Region are: • Daniel Czeredrecki-Schmidt, Graeme College • Ovayo Gcwabe, Victoria Girls’ High School • Rachel De la Mare, Victoria Girls’ High School • Jedd Youthed, Graeme College
