The Grade 3 class has been learning about ‘Life in the Past’ in Lifeskills.

Last week, we were visited by Miguel’s granny, Mrs Vern Featherstone. She kindly came to talk to us about what life was like when she was a child growing up in Grahamstown/Makhanda in the 1960s and 1970s.

The boys were intrigued hearing about her family life, school, games and toys, how many sweets she could buy with only 1 cent, the chores she did as a child, the separateness of Apartheid and much more.
