Hosting Dale College on the Marais field under ideal, batting-friendly conditions, Graeme College delivered a clinical performance to secure a commanding eight-wicket victory. Coming off a successful cricketing week, Dale College won the toss and confidently elected to bat, but their decision was quickly undone by a relentless Graeme bowling attack led by captain Andrew Muir who set the tone immediately with an exceptional spell using the new ball. Muir exploited early movement to dismantle Dale’s top order, snatching three vital wickets. Dale would’ve been happy at 55/3 after 10 overs. What followed was a sensational spell by younger brother James Muir. In a game-changing spell, James recorded career-best 1st XI figures, tearing through Dale’s middle and lower order to claim 6 wickets for just 6 runs in 5 overs. Dale had no answers and were bundled out for a paltry 69 runs.

Chasing 70 for victory, Graeme College wasted no time on the favorable surface. Opening batsman Enrique Strydom provided attacking intent, scoring 24 runs to put the chase well out of reach. Zuko Pontshi anchored the remaining runs with an unbeaten 17*, guiding Graeme past the target in just 6.3 overs. Despite losing two wickets along the way, Graeme College sealed a 8-wicket victory, putting on a thoroughly dominant show on home soil.
