The handover of the Old Boy ties at Valedictory marks the close of your school years and the beginning of your journey as Old Graemians.

Former OGU President Isak Smuts handed over the ties, welcoming the boys into their next chapter. Here are a few moments from that special occasion.

Each tie is a reminder of where you come from, the friendships you’ve formed and the community you’ll always belong to.

As Sean Wiblin reminded the boys in his speech, there’s no need to sign up to become part of the Old Graemian Union. That belonging is already yours. Valedictory marks the transition into a community that continues long after you leave the school gates.

To all our departing gentlemen, good luck with everything that lies ahead. Wear your ties with pride, stay connected and carry the spirit of Graeme into whatever comes next.
