FSA German 🇩🇪 Exchange Programme

What a delight to welcome back our very first German Exchange student from 2024: Valentin. Valentin and his family are visiting South Africa. Amongst their touring, they wanted to visit Makhanda to see where Valentin had been to school and meet the people who looked after him.

It was a full-circle moment for his friends to welcome him back with open arms. Such is the bond of our school between learners from all walks of life.

Our current German Exchange students, Ilyas and Samuel, also met Valentin and his family.

A big German weekend will be taking place at the farm of Andrew and Wendy Cock, Valentin’s hosts from 2024, this weekend.

Nicholas Cock spent time with Valentin when he went overseas to Germany on Exchange in 2025.

What a wonderful surprise to meet not only Valentin, but his whole family! Valentin proudly showed them around campus today.
