Türkiye update: Judging is now underway at the 1923 International Mathematics, Science and Engineering Fair (IMSEF) 2026 in İzmir, Türkiye, with Team South Africa presenting their innovative research projects to an international panel of judges.

Earlier today, the delegation participated in the opening ceremony and had the opportunity to meet Izmir Honorary Consul General from South Africa, I. Tamer TAŞKIN, alongside participants from around the world.

Representing South Africa are Connor Kinnes, Joshua Danilatos, and Rorisang Mohau Mohlobuli. The delegation is led by Palesa Selepe, Eskom Expo Ekurhuleni Regional Science Fair Director. Also attending is Mologadi Motshele, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Eskom Development Foundation.
