The Johan Carinus Art Centre is situated in Beaufort Street and caters to a wide array of students. Boys is Grades 4 - 9 are lucky enough to have their Carinus art teacher teach them on site. They explore a wide range of media and grow into the art. From Grade 10, students are allowed to select their art subject. There is a choice between Visual Art and Design. With this is a History component and a practical component. The practical lessons are given in the art school and boys are bussed to the art school for these lessons. Specialisation subjects are chosen by the students and the range is wide: painting, ceramics, sculpture, print-making and textiles are just some of the exciting possibilities open to the boys who do art.
